No, not that New Order. This is The New Order, a band formed by Ron Asheton after the Stooges fizzled out. It also featured one Dennis "Machine Gun" Thompson from the MC5 on drums. The band would release one LP in 1977 before Asheton would go on to form The New Race. It wouldn't be until 1989, when some more rehearsal material from early in the band's existence would be released(then under the band name Ron Asheton's New Order). I'm not quite the sure the music works on this release, probably due to the manic vocals, but I appreciate the energy.
