Someone Else's Games by Mount Rushmore (1969)

Mount Rushmore was a poorly named, but aurally pleasing heavy psych band out of late 60's San Francisco. They managed to release a couple of albums before calling it quits. Here they are with the final track off of their second album.

  1. Hi Man, just wanted to say I was drawn in by a very early pick, Paul Pena's original Jet Airliner. I am in a similar endeavor of finding songs lost to my own history and am a fan of garage, prog, soul, etc. I am now going threw every post of yours, which leads me to find a common thread among the prog music culture. What I dislike about most of the bands is not the music necessarily while it lacks a focus and songwriting that the kings of prog developed. It is the singers, if they had better singers, I would probably listen to these bands quite a bit. Anyway, love your adventure, Keep it up. Sonny Mandrake

    1. Sonny, thanks for the kind words. I seem to only dip my toe into prog every now and then. Come to think of it, if there were not vocals, I would probably listen more often!
